Great website guys! It must be quite an honor to be a part of such tradition as being the oldest 100% Volunteer fore department in the state! My department didn't start for another 78 years; 1872! We are located on the shoreline of Lake Erie, so I guess that is a testament to Westward Expansion or the lack there of... I will be in Hudson in March for my first trip to the Fire Museum. My mother, Jean Rogers Harder Brower recently passed away at 87 years old. She was a native of Columbia County and grew up in Claverack and Philmont. While looking through her things, I found many items tieing her and her relatives to the Hudson Fire Department and the Volunteer Fire Fighters Home. They include a gold badge from the C.H. Evans Fire Company with her grandfather's initials, CSR - Charles S. Rogers who was the son of Harper Rogers, former Mayor of Hudson and also tied into the FD.
I was wondering if there is any websites that could help me track down this tie-in with the HUdso FD?
