Crews were only clear from the 350 Columbia St. fire for a few minutes when at 2:21am Engine 30 was dispatched to Catskill for a fire in The Pines nursing facility located at 154 Jefferson Heights.

Initially requested as the FAST truck, the engine crew was soon put to work assisting in locating the source of a moderate smoke condition throughout all three floors of an entire wing of the building.

The source was located in the HVAC system after a lengthy investigation. Hudson units were back in service at approximately 5:00am.
