HFD takes home 9 trophies at CCVFA Parade!

The City of Hudson Fire Department took home 9 trophies after marching in the annual Columbia County Volunteer Firefighters Association Parade on Saturday July 30th.

The parade was the culmination of the annual convention weekend hosted this year by the Niverville Fire Department. The convention, always held over the last weekend in July, took place at the Kinderhook Town Park on State Farm Road in the Town of Kinderhook. The parade stepped off at 4pm and made its way through the hamlet of Niverville and ended at the Town Park where Trophies were awarded later in the evening.

Under the direction of Chief James Schermerhorn Jr., the City of Hudson took home the following trophies:

1st Place- Best Appearing in County Engine (6 years and older)
1st Place- Best Appearing Drum Line
1st Place- Most in Line(In county Auxiliary)
1st Place- Most in Line(Firefighters only)
1st Place- Best Appearing(In county)Junior Firefighters
1st Place- Best Appearing Auxiliary (In county)
2nd Place- Best Appearing member unit Color Guard
1st Place- Best Appearing Member Unit(24 and over in line)
Best Appearing Overall In County with Auxiliary

The City of Hudson Fire Department would like to congratulate the Niverville Fire Department on a successful convention and look forward to next years convention which will be hosted the Stockport Fire Company.
