M/A to Catskill For Another Worker

At 05:46 Hudson Fire was dispatched with Engine 30 for a working fire at 24 Woodland Ave. in the Village of Catskill. Acting as the second due engine company members were immediately put to work stretching handlines to the interior to assist with the initial attack.

Damage was contained to the B/C side of the 1 1/2 story wood and brick ranch style residence which overlooks the Hudson River.

Crews faced the challenge of working through a large amount of debris to bring the blaze under control.

This is the 3rd working fire for Catskill and Hudson crews in 11 days. All of these incidents occurred in temperatures in the single digits.

Hudson members returned to service at approximately 8:30am.

 
Units: Assistant Chief Shawn Hoffman, Engine 30. There were also standby crews at the Hudson Central Station.
