Brush Fire

At 7:54 pm Hudson Fire units responded for a brush fire in the woods along the CSX rail line between Hudson Avenue and East Court Street.

Crews were able to access the blaze with long hose stretches from the rear of McGuires and the rear of the powerhouse on the grounds of the Hudson Correctional Facility. Crews spent approximately one hour dousing the flames and insuring no hots spots remained.

Engines 30 and Engine 28 were assigned fire attack operations. Engine 30 with hose lines from McGuires and Engine 28 with a factory lay from the Hudson Correctional Facility Powerhouse. Engine 27-9 was assigned to water supply operations made several trips shuttling from a hydrant on Hudson Avenue back to the scene.

Units were back in service shortly before 9:30 pm and no injuries were reported.
