The Hudson Fire Department turned out n force at the annual Columbia County Firefighters Association Parade held in Stuyvesant. Their efforts proved worthwhile as they walked away with two overall prizes and one third prize.

Members received the Best Appearing Overall in the parade without a ladies auxiliary, and Most Members In Line.

The third place trophy received was also the most coveted by the members of Explorer Post 2108. They had worked for two weeks with Firefighter Jake Thomas preparing Engine 28, a 1999 KME, for judging in the parade.

Engine 28 placed third only topped by 2015 and 2014 model year apparatus. To place third in this category with a 16 year old truck, against two dozen other pieces of apparatus speaks volumes of the hard work and attention to detail put forth by the Explorers and FF Thomas.

Congratulations on a job well done!
