27-9 Takes In Motorcycle Crash With Fire

At approximately 3pm Hudson F.D. and Greenport Rescue Squad were assigned by Columbia County 911 for a motorcycle accident with fire in front of the Hudson High School on Harry Howard Ave.

While Engine 27-9 was enroute 911 provided an update that the motorcycle and a utility pole were on fire and the call was in the Town of Greenport Fire District on Joslen Blvd. Engine 27-9 and Car 2, Assistant Chief Anthony DeMarco Jr. continued their response and advised 911 to also dispatch Greenport Fire to the scene.

On arrival, the crew from 27-9 stretched a 1 3/4" hose line and quickly extinguished the fire.

Greenport Rescue Squad Paramedics transported the single patient for further treatment.

Greenport FD responded to the with Engine 24-1, Heavy Rescue M-25, and Fire Police Unit M-24.
