On Saturday July 28th, 2018, the City of Hudson Fire Department participated in the 93rd annual Columbia County Volunteer Firefighters Association convention and parade. The festivities started on Friday July 27th when past Hudson Fire Chief James Coons and past CCVFA President George Harp both received an Honorable Mention award for Lifetime Firefighter Achievement. Then on Saturday July 28th more then 40 of Hudson's finest took part in the parade that preceded through Main Street Germantown and ended at the Palatine Park. Firefighters ended up going home with three trophies, 1st place for best appearing Apparatus: Engine, 1st place Drumline, and Best overall in County without auxiliary.
