On May 11th, 2002, eight months to the day after the horrific attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, FDNY EMS first responders were honored by the Hudson Department of Fire at the department's 147th Annual Inspection Parade in Hudson. The eight FDNY EMTs and paramedics lead the parade on Warren Street and were honored at a ceremony at the Firemen's Home following the parade. Eighteen years later, the selfless and brave first responders of the FDNY are again in harms way during the coronavirus outbreak in New York City. All New Yorkers are proud of them, and all of our first responders across the state, and wish them to be safe and to stay healthy during these difficult times.
