Hudson Fire Department Hosting United States Coast Guard Search & Rescue Training

The Hudson Department of Fire is hosting two days of United States Coast Guard Search & Rescue training being provided to various fire and police departments in the Hudson Valley north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. The training, which is being held on July 16th & 17th, includes one day of classroom training at the Hudson Central Station on North 7th Street and a day of on hands training at the Hudson Waterfront and Columbia County Airport.

USCG officers and enlisted personnel from Coast Guard Sector New York based on Staten Island are providing the training.

Wednesday's training will familiarize first responders with the emergency capabilities of Coast Guard vessels and helicopters. Training at the waterfront starts at 9AM. Training at the Columbia County Airport will start at 1PM.
