Chief Anthony Demarco Jr. and the City of Hudson Fire Department are proud to announce that the City of Hudson and the Fire Department has awarded a contract to E-ONE to build a new aerial ladder for the City of Hudson.

The truck committee, comprised of Fire Commissioner Timothy Hutchings, Chief DeMarco, 1st. Asst. Chief Shawn Hoffman, 2nd. Asst. Chief Nicolas Pierro, and several former and current Chiefs and Officers of the department, was organized over a year ago and has logged thousands of hours putting together the best apparatus to suit the needs of the City of Hudson. The committee has been meeting regularly, attending fire show conferences, exploring recent apparatus deliveries, and meeting with different manufacturers to ensure we have built a superior truck. The truck will be commissioned through our local E-ONE dealer, Premier Fire Apparatus Inc. of Lake Katrine, N.Y.

E-ONE was chosen for the new state of art jacking system and shortened overall jack spread. The shortened spread (overall width of the apparatus during ladder operations) will allow us to operate easier on some of Hudsons more narrower streets. The truck will be built at E-ONEs facility in Ocala, Florida.

The new E-ONE will feature:

100ft Aluminum Ladder with a Platform
600HP Cummins X15 Engine
Allison 4000 EVS Transmission
8 man Typhoon Cab
300 Gallon Water Tank
2000 GPM Waterous Pump
Plenty of storage for ground ladders and tools

Delivery of the truck is expected in early 2021. The truck will replace a 2001 KME Aerial Cat that the department currently runs.
